How I check it

How I check it before you rely on it.

Anything I build for you has to earn your trust before it touches real work. These are the six checks I run first. You see the results, and nothing goes live until you're happy with them.

Three stages before anything runs on its own.

  1. Done by hand.

We run the job by hand together, a few times, and write down every step. Often a step or two turns out not to be needed.

  2. Checked by you.

I prepare the work, sometimes with software, and you approve each result. You're checking, not doing.

  3. It drafts, you approve.

It runs, and the results wait in one place for your yes or no. That's the only part you see.

Most people jump straight to the last stage, then spend weeks fixing a job that was never sorted out in the first place. Each job moves at its own pace. Before one reaches the last stage, it passes six checks.

  1. It knows where to look.

We agree which sources it can trust: your price list, your inbox, your booking system. We also agree which one wins when two of them disagree, and what it must ignore.

  2. Every action is tried for real.

Reading a message, creating a record, updating it, attaching a file, drafting a reply. I try each one it needs. A tool showing as connected doesn't mean the action works, so I check that it does.

  3. The big things wait for your yes.

Sending a message to a customer, spending money or deleting anything always stops and asks you first. That's set before anything else, and it stays that way unless you decide otherwise.

  4. I give it a messy week on purpose.

Missing details. Two records that say different things. The same customer entered twice. A tool that's down. A request that could mean two things.

Real work looks like this. I want to see it slow down and ask, not guess.

  5. It works alongside you first, without acting.

For a while it sees your real work but takes no live actions. It writes down what it would have done, and we compare that with what you actually did. It only goes live once its choices match yours.

  6. Same question, same answer.

I give it the same job twice. If the two answers differ, it isn't ready. You should be able to predict what it will do.

Built with UK GDPR standards in.

Everything I build has UK GDPR built in from the start, and it goes through quality assurance before the system goes live.

I also write down how each change is reversed: what to switch off, what to put back, and how long that takes. It's in plain English, and it's yours to keep.

Installed isn't the same as ready.

It's ready when you know what it can do, where it stops, and what happens when real life gets messy. Until then, it stays in the background and you stay in charge.
